The oxygen released by JBL Ektol cristal relieves respiration and reduces the penetration of harmful ions such as nitrite through the gills into the organism. JBL Ektol cristal supports medical treatment for parasites such as single-celled animals (ciliates, bacteria) in the mucous membrane of fish. JBL Ektol cristal stimulates the fish to accelerate regeneration of the mucous membrane. Particularly in live-bearing fish which stem from brackish water areas or that are accustomed to harder water in captivity, JBL Ektol cristal promotes the stability of the fish by adjusting the salt content.
