The Gold Neon Stripe Laser Cory Catfish (Corydoras sp. CW010) is a captivating bottom-dwelling species, distinguished by a vivid gold stripe along its dorsal side. Native to South American rivers, this peaceful and communal fish is ideal for community tanks. Its robust constitution combined with its striking coloration makes it highly valued by experienced aquarists.

Ideal Tank Setup

A tank capacity of at least 20 gallons is advised. Employ a soft, sandy substrate to safeguard their delicate barbels. Incorporate driftwood, caves, and live plants to replicate their native environment and offer shelter. Keep water conditions stable with a pH ranging from 6.5 to 7.5, temperatures between 22 and 26°C, and gentle water movement to ensure their well-being.

Compatible Tank Mates

The Cory Catfish thrives in groups of six or more. It pairs well with other non-aggressive fish such as tetras, rasboras, guppies, and small gouramis. Avoid keeping them with aggressive or large species to prevent stress or injury.

Feeding

The Corydoras Gold Laser (Corydoras sp. CW010) thrives on a diverse diet. Offer premium sinking pellets as their main food, complemented by live or frozen items such as bloodworms and brine shrimp. They also benefit from blanched vegetables like zucchini and spinach. Feeding should occur 2–3 times per day in small amounts to maintain optimal health and vitality.
