The Albino Peppered Catfish enchants with its pale, flowing fins, brightening any aquarium. Native to South America’s slow rivers, this peaceful fish thrives in schools. As a result, its shy charm captivates hobbyists. Furthermore, its hardy nature suits community tanks. Let’s dive into its care needs to ensure this stunning Cory Catfish flourishes in your setup.

Tank Setup

Albino Peppered Corydoras prosper in a 60-liter aquarium featuring a fine sand substrate. Maintain water parameters with a pH between 5.8 and 7.0 and temperatures ranging from 22°C to 26°C. Incorporate driftwood and floating plants to enhance the environment. Employ gentle filtration to accommodate their sensitive disposition. This setup effectively supports their timid behaviour.

Ideal Tank Mates

Albino Peppered Cory do well alongside peaceful species such as tetras and otocinclus. They should be kept in groups of at least five. Avoid housing them with large-mouthed fish like Oscars. Species like swordtails make suitable tank mates. A tranquil community environment promotes their natural schooling behavior.

Feeding

The Albino Peppered Cory thrives on a diverse omnivorous diet. Provide sinking pellets, frozen bloodworms, and live daphnia 1–2 times daily, making sure the food settles at the tank bottom. A varied diet is essential for maintaining their health and vitality.
