The scientific name for a Angelfish , is Pterophyllum scalare, as it is a selectively bred colour variation of the common Angelfish. The common Angelfish, Pterophyllum scalare, is the most common of the three Angelfish species and is the basis for many popular ornamental varieties like the Koi Angelfish, which is a coloration rather than a distinct species.

Diet and Feeding

The Angelfish thrives on a diverse carnivorous diet. Provide premium flakes along with live and frozen options such as brine shrimp. Incorporate some plant-based foods as well.
