Tank Mates
Rummynose tetras thrive best in groups of 8 to 10 or more, which promotes their natural schooling instincts and minimizes stress. They coexist well with other calm species like rasboras, Corydoras catfish, dwarf gouramis, and small tetras. It is important to avoid mixing them with larger or aggressive fish that could cause intimidation or harm.
Feeding
Rummy Nose Tetras are omnivorous and require a diverse diet for optimal health. Provide high-quality flakes or micro pellets as their main food, complemented by live or frozen options like brine shrimp, bloodworms, and daphnia. Incorporating plant-based items such as spirulina flakes or blanched vegetables helps maintain balanced nutrition. Feed small amounts two to three times daily to support their well-being.
