The Electric Blue Ram Cichlid (Mikrogeophagus ramirezi) has an oval shaped body and pointed fins and tail. This fish is pure and bright blue. They are one of the most popular dwarf cichlids.
The electric blue ram is a fairly peaceful fish can be kept with wide range of community fish. They are very beautiful, tank-raised variant of its species

Tank Size

A minimum tank size of 50 litres is advised for a pair of these cichlids. Using a sandy substrate alongside plants, driftwood, and rocks replicates their natural environment. Maintain water temperatures between 24–28°C and a pH level from 6.0 to 7.5. Consistent weekly water changes and efficient filtration are crucial. Additionally, providing ample hiding places helps minimize stress and promotes natural behaviour within the aquarium.

Tank Mates 

These tranquil fish do well in community aquariums featuring other peaceful species. Ideal tank mates include small tetras, Corydoras, and rasboras, as well as dwarf gouramis and fish of comparable size. It is important to avoid pairing them with aggressive or significantly larger fish that could induce stress. Incorporating plants and ample hiding spots creates a balanced environment, promoting harmony. A thoughtfully designed tank allows these cichlids to flourish alongside suitable companions.

Feeding 

The Electric Neon Blue Ram Cichlid thrives on a diverse diet as an omnivore. Its main nutrition should come from premium micro pellets or flakes. Supplementing with live or frozen options like brine shrimp, bloodworms, and daphnia supports its health and vivid coloration. Occasionally providing blanched vegetables such as zucchini or spinach adds extra nutrients. Feed in small amounts twice a day and promptly remove any leftovers to keep the water clean and clear.
