The comet-tailed goldfish, originating from the United States, is a single-tailed variety closely related to the common goldfish. It is typically smaller and more slender, characterized primarily by its elongated, deeply forked tail. Unlike the common goldfish, comet goldfish exhibit a wide range of color variations.
Tank Mates
These goldfish display a calm temperament and are suitable for communities with other non-aggressive coldwater species like Shubunkins, Fantails, or White Cloud Mountain Minnows. To maintain a balanced aquarium, they should not be housed with tropical or aggressive fish.
