Nannostomus mortenthaleri, commonly known as the coral red pencilfish, is a freshwater species of fish belonging to the characin family Lebiasinidae. It occurs widely and commonly in swamps and slow-moving waters in Brazil, Guyana, French Guiana, and Suriname.
